I wasn't real sure about these - I believe that a lot of supplements are "snake oil". I was stressed out, feeling panicky, and depressed all the time (2 years). My anxiety was through-the-roof. The only option my doctor gave me was anti-depressants. No thanks. Then I read about holy basil.
I've been taking this herb now for about a month. I take one capsule every twelve hours. This supplement has worked wonders on my mood and anxiety levels. I'm so much more calm now and can breathe much easier. I don't know how this works so well, but am thankful that I found it.

I'd been suffering from stress-induced anxiety and had been considering treatment with an anti-depressant as a last resort...but I was not looking forward to the inevitable and uncomfortable adjustment period, especially over the holidays. My longtime acupuncturist had me try one of these capsules at my appointment last week -- I allowed the capsule to break in my mouth, and felt the subtle calming, uplifting effects almost immediately. This is not to say that it will work for everyone with anxiety or depression disorders...but it's definitely helping me through a difficult time. I cannot vouch for other manufacturers of this item; I do know New Chapter to be a reputable company offering high-quality products.
